From Durban to Washington DC

Designed for the UCLG Congress at the Durban Exhibition Centre, in South Africa, the WRI and GCoM booth served as an interactive space to showcase the potential of the Data Portal for Cities platform to drive local climate action. The exhibit highlighted how downscaling national and regional data and making it freely accessible at a global level empowers cities to develop targeted and informed sustainability strategies. The challenge was to create a space that was visually compelling and functional, enabling visitors to engage with the platform and understand its impact. Through strategic spatial design, graphic communication and digital integration, the stand provided an immersive experience that effectively communicated the importance of data-driven decision-making for urban sustainability.

Following its success in Durban, the exhibition stand was also presented in Washington D.C., at the Spanish Cultural Center as part of the COP25 event.
